This year’s Hanukkah takes place in the aftermath of the first anniversary of the October 7 attacks on the State of Israel, the single deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust.

Delve into the deeply rooted history of antisemitism, from ancient censure of Jewish rituals and traditions to persecution, expulsions, and massacres throughout the Middle Ages. This includes the darkest times in Sefardic history when tens of thousands of Jews were forcibly converted, expelled, and brutally murdered in their own towns and homes, a tragic foreshadowing of October 7th.
