About Our Blog

The Jewish Heritage Alliance (JHA) is about promoting relevant information regarding Jewish related issues. Our current "MISSION" is telling the story of Sefarad (Jews of the Iberian Peninsula) and to bring this profound segment of Jewish and World History to "Main Street". What makes us unique, is that we bring together people and organizations from across the political and social spectrum in order to maximize our impact.

Together we are creating a dynamic portal that will detail the saga of the Jews of Sefarad, covering the good, the bad, and the ugly. We portray this epic story utilizing rich content, supported by a wide-range of initiatives, events, including tour programs intended to bring the stories to life. We provide both, dynamic historical information presented in an elegant and coherent manner

Our Blog Section will provide visitors with a wide array of interesting information. We will discuss the historical attributes of the Jews that lived in the Iberian Peninsula for centuries past. We will discuss their achievements and success, as well as their darkest hours of pogroms, inquisitions and forced conversions (Conversos). We will detail the 1492 Edict of Expulsion issued by the joint Catholic Monarchs of Spain (Isabella of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon). We will follow in the footsteps of the exiled Jews and Conversos and detail their saga as they made their way and settled in new lands.
